HCI Ventures offers the following land rental options:
Cash rental consists of a basic contract in which HCI Ventures owns farmland and rents it to farmers. Rates are determined by a combination of cash flow analysis, percentage of Fair Market Value (FMV), and a comparative analysis of the local area.
The cash equivalent model offers farmers land rental priced in bushels of production rather than dollars. In this model HCI shares crop price risk, which helps take some of the price volatility out of the farmer's business. The majority of crop price risk contracts are based on canola and lentils but a mix of other crops could also be utilized. Actual bushels are determined by a typical crop share applied to area long term average yields.
